I’m an independent mediator and collaborative communication coach who can help you to co-create greater ease, harmony and flow in your personal and professional relationships. My aim is to get concrete results for my clients in a fraction of the time usually required by traditional therapy and counseling.
I call it “Alternative” Communication Therapy because the emotion-based coaching work I do is deeply therapeutic, yet I am neither a psychologist nor a psychotherapist. Instead I work with a holistic, empathic process called compassionate, nonviolent communication. I also facilitate ongoing support groups for people who want to learn this organic process of nonjudgmental communication to help build bridges of connection, harmony, collaboration and understanding.
I’ve been offering these services to the public since 2000 in the greater Miami and Fort Lauderdale area, as well as by phone and through Skype conferencing.
Nonviolent Communication is a process developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg. It’s based on a very pure, nonjudgmental language of feelings, needs and requests. I’ve found this to be a powerful tool in my mediation work which involves bringing two or more people together despite a painful history of conflict.

I still cannot quite assume that I could end up being one of those studying the important guidelines found on your web site. My family and I are truly thankful for your generosity and for offering me the opportunity to pursue this chosen profession path. Appreciate your sharing the important information I got from your website.
I’m really glad to hear that my site has helped you to connect with a professional path that is in harmony with your values, goals and dreams! It was my pleasure to share the information about NVC, and I wish you the best in your endeavors.
Hi Steve. FYI, that comment from “Milo” reads like blog spam. I have two blogs, and I get a lot of these spam comments. They’re typically praising and don’t mention anything specific enough to demonstrate that they read your post. Regards, – Conal
Thank you for pointing that out. I am relatively new to this blogging software and am sometimes confused by the technology. I have two or three blog spam filters in place, and the comment made it through both of them. Thus I wondered how it could do that. But it may be spam just the same.
Hi! Are you still offering the NVC practice group?
I live in Delray. But, I am interested, so would make the
commute. I cannot locate your more specific area, only that you
are in or near Miami.
Please send me info.
Thank you so much!
Yes, still offering the NVC practice group, usually on 2nd and 4th Sundays at 2pm. It is in North Miami Beach, just west of Aventura, south of Hollywood/Hallandale. Address and other introductory information is at http://www.meetup.com/Build-Compassionate-Relationships/ If you like, you can join meetup.com for free and join my NVC (build compassionate relationships) meetup group. Once you join, you can RSVP right there on that site. For a little more in-depth information, feel free to visit my website: http://www.mediation-usa.net/NVC_Nonviolent_Communication.html

Glad to hear how much you appreciate the transformative power of NVC. I am currently taking a summer vacation indefinitely from my regular NVC group out of my home in N Miami. But if you like, you can join my group on http://www.meetup.com. on that site just search for Building Compassionate Relationships. Meanwhile I am facilitating an NVC group in Kendall. The location moves from one person’s home to another. Please let me know if you want to be on the email list for that group even though it’s quite far from Sunrise. Thanks for your support.
Hello, I would like to find out more about your service. Could we set up a brief call?
Yes, Rosine, I’d be glad to set up a brief call with you. My regrets for the two month delay, I’ve been doing some traveling and special projects. I’ll email you at your yahoo address as well.
